Nov. 21st, 2017 02:53 amwhen i got out of bed, it wasnt raining outside, so I put my work clothes on and got to it. I finished the trellis ... there are still a few things to do with it, but for now, its done, I got the top piece on the crossbar and I got the hanging hooks installed too, and I put a few windchimes on it.
I then refilled all the bird feeders, replenished suets and sunflower seeds and the pressed corn log for the squirrels. I saw something kinda darting about my yard, hiding in the leaves, I think it was either a large rodent of some kind, or a vole type, but it looked a bit rough and for it to be out and about and not that afraid of me, I think it was very hungry. As long as the vermin stay out of the house and the garage, I dont have a problem with them at all.
Once all of that was done, I started to dig the new flower bed, and I got about 3/4 of it dug, about four wheelbarrow fulls. I have the cleanup bits and shaping to do, square the side and bottom, and then I can start building the bed, or as my friend Annie called it, Plant Parfait. I thought that was a great description of what I am going to do.
I started to get clumsy and even though I could have finished the rough digging, I remembered that tonight was the book signing for Kij Johnsons sequel to Wind in the Willows. So, I called it and changed clothes and set out.
I have the first three chapters read of the book, I adore Miss Mole, and really who knew that Rabbits are flighty?
Tomorrow, dental appt for rebuilding and crowing the fractured tooth.
