Aug. 11th, 2019 10:50 pmI finally got my computer back from my friend B who replaced the hard drive and the power supply, which was what was making that horrible grinding noise et al.
for the last month, its been dr appts car appts all sorts of things, and I leave tuesday am for Ireland, and to be followed by Edinburgh, London, Berlin and Trieste.
When I get home, its back up to the VAMC to start the process for my left knee to be replaced. Its gone bad, the warranty is expired and I am more than ready to get it done. But first, I need to clean and declutter the house, get the two handicapped toilets (which have been sitting in boxes in the garage for two years if not more) installed and a lot of other things, I also need to keep focused on losing weight for the surgery. I have already lost about 15 pounds, and if you count from the first of the year, it 25. Its rough, its no potato or its byproducts, and no candy, no large helpings of rice, a lot of nos.. sigh... no deep fried foods... no fun and tasty stuff...
now, to print out the plethora of stuff I need for Worldcon, and other things. I booked all my travel through AAA since I just couldent cope with the amount of thinking I needed to do... plus, no computer to do it on, the tablet is okay to look stuff up, but typing one fingered isnt good.
