today is my 68th birthday, I will be meeting up with a friend and doing a little book hunting.
I have been really distracted and bummed out about the real world of late, I have been to 4 memorial services so far, and we still havent had one for my sister, and I dont know if we every will.
the biggest time suck has been rebuilding my fence, my neighbor is helping me, actually he is doing 90 percent of the work and its almost done, but this has set back my planting because, no fence in places. Have I mention the plethora of critters that tromp thru here on a regular basis... deer bunnies ducks possums, skunks raccoons, and uh, chipmunks squirrels rats mice, and birds lots of birds and raptors.
I have started to feel better, since the DVT back in december and subsequent surgery, my brain is slowly coming back too, short term memory is still crap, but, its not as skippy as before. I am building up my stamina working outside but, its situational based on weather and temperature.
social life is still slow too, outside of those memorial services, but maybe once a month I will go somewhere and be social. June was the PDX book and paper fair, which was a lot of fun, I only bought 4 books, but, still spent my limit. Yeah, I got Jungs Red Book, the big one...oh yeah baby... trying to fit it on the shelf along with his set of Black Books, but, I always need more bookcases, a lot more.
I heard today that our SF book club will be meeting in person again which is fabulous. in August.
in good news youngest nephew and his wife are expecting a baby boy in October. He was such a brat as a child, its good to see things circling around smirk.
I will try to post more often, I will put it on my to do list.
