martianmooncrabStill kinda weak and wonky since the intestinal episode... I never made it up I5 to see my godchildren. I have been trying to adult so far this week, with mixed results.
Turkey Day plans are for me to go to Longview and pick up my Wicked Evil Stepmom and take her to the Ilani casino for the turkey buffet, and, she is more excited about going to the casino than everything else, thats her big flutter and one of the few reasons she leaves the house (other than doctor appts.. sigh) so, I am having a pretty good laugh over this, it started out for me to take her somewhere in Longview for dinner, but, the casino was an after thought option... I really dont gamble, I dont win, so why give them my money when I can tap away on my tablet? Because of the weather, today she calls me and comes up with "come up early so I can get some time on the machines before our reservations, and then if the weather stays good we can have a bit more time on the machines and if it gets bad, we can leave right after eating" She can plot.. I was actually going to call and suggest the same thing to her myself, but, she is really pumped up about going out. One should never get between a little old lady (she is 83) and her slot machines! I just am happy that she is so engaged with going out for the holiday, and doing something. sitting around the house being depressed isnt good.. she has another eye appt this week, they trying to figure out if they can do anything so she can read again.
I am running low on bird seed (there are some black friday sales that will solve that problem) and the Tigger kitty actually came inside my house for a very short time today.. it was very cold outside with that east wind blowing.
