martianmooncrabseems like every post get farther out... but, I as diignosed with cataracts at the end of July, and to my total shock, the VA jumped right on it, and i had my first surgery two weeks ago and having the second one on the 21st. I am having fun with the way my eyes perceive lights at night... very amusing.
Yes, they do duct tape your head to the table. I was drugged enough to missed 99% of it, so the second surgery will be a snap .. but I seem to be a sleeping slug, and with the no bending or lifting rule, I am even more behind.
last week i did go to the coast and I am not making that drive until I get my new glasses. But we picked up my cousins ashes and his death certificates and got some things done, but there are more things to do, I am not doing everything she wants me to do, and she is starting to fend for herself more, but, its a long process. She still finds the word NO not in her vocabulary, as in No I wont take you to your dr appt on the 21st because I am having eye surgery, ... yeah... not hearing me.
I hadnt realized how my eyes werent seeing but the change is great, and more years of reading, because frankly not reading means no quality of life for me...
Book signings are picking up, there are about 2 a month now that I go to.... before covid it was about 6 a month.
