Jun. 5th, 2018 03:47 amOnce I got my sunday paper on saturday, I also got some more dirt and poo since I had run out. I worked outside but in the garage, I cleaned up my shedette, and got the last of the tools out of the garage and took apart the old plastic tool stand that wasnt working out at all. This freed up a nice chunk of the garage, and I got other things cleaned and sorted while I was at it. I tend to just stack stuff up and I lose track of it because nothing gets put away.
Sunday, it was run some errands, and I picked the sister creature up to ride along with me. Her ankle is way better now, so she was getting around slowly. One stop was to get a copy of Misfit City, its the Goonies meets Lumberjanes, its a graphic novel set on the Oregon Coast, I am going to read it and then see if the Kidlet is interested in it.
Today, after my ten hours of sleep, I rolled outside and started planting. I got three railing planters cleaned out and new flowers put in, then the last four tiered planters done, and then I started in on the regular pots and such. Walkby weeding occurred. I did dump four buckets of old dirt, but now I have five more to dispose of, and I got the yard bin about a third full. Put the sprinker on in the garden area, its been so dry here that there is no moisture in the dirt at all.
Progess is being made, and the driveway looks worse. So I must be doing something. I did assemble the new solar light post toppers, and I will pick one day to haul the ladder out so I can reach the top of the tallest posts to install them.
While taking a lot of rest breaks, I watched the quail squakking about, and then the robins and the jays do flying combat manuvers over my neighbors cherry tree ... they all want it.
Tomorrow, new book tuesday errand and to let the back rest a bit. It still hates me, but, I am determined not to give into it.
